PANJIM: Reira Petro Services, which is part of the Reira Group has begun operations at its retail fuel outlet in Calangute.  

Located near the Calangute police station along the Saligao – Calangute CHOGM road, the petrol pump is a franchisee of BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd).  

The start of this fuel outlet in Calangute has come as a welcome relief to the people of the locality including residents of the coastal areas of Calangute, Saligao, Parra and surrounding areas. 

The opening ceremony was muted in celebrations as the state had declared three days of mourning. After the blessings by Fr Clifford, Asst Parish Priest of Calangute, Gladys Pereira, mother of Darryl Pereira, MD of Reira Group, started the fueling by filling the first car. 

The opening of the petrol pump was attended by residents of Saligao, Calangute and neighboring areas. 

Rajnikant Patel, Territory Manager, BPCL said “The outlet will be fully automated within the next few weeks.” 

Also present on the occasion were Dinesh Dhekne, deputy manager, sales; Rajkumar Salunke, deputy manager constructions; Devdutta Kotulkar, executive engineer; fellow BPCL dealers; directors of Reira Group; Captain Peter and Captain Bhatia.
