PANJIM: A 61-year-old man was killed when the two wheeler he was riding was hit by a tourist bus at Betim on Friday.
According to the police, the victim was identified as Sadanand Surlikar from Betim. The accident occurred at around 10.40 am near Canara Bank. The victim was rushed to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim, where he was declared brought dead.
An offence under sections 279 and 304 A has been registered at Porvorim Police Station. Post-mortem on the body of the deceased was conducted and handed over to his family for performing last rights, police said.
