PANJIM: In the next one week another 846 seafarers will land in Goa, from three different countries.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant made this announcement on social media. “Within the next one week, 846 seafarers, most of whom are Goans would arrive in Goa from Brazil, Sri Lanka and Suriname,” he said.
Health Secretary Nila Mohanan said the State is prepared for arrivals of the seafarers. “We are well prepared for the seafarers as they are quarantined for seven days there is no need to take swabs immediately as we will take their hotel address and collect swabs later,” she said.
