Anjuna police arrest Russian with e- cigarettes

MAPUSA: Vasilii Karavaev (45), a Russian, was arrested on Sunday for illegal possession of e-cigarettes by Anjuna police.

A team comprising Anjuna Police Station PI Suraj Gawas, PSI Vidyesh Pilgaonkar, PC Shyamsundar Parsekar, Rajesh Gokharnekar, Mahendra Mandrekar raided the Flat No. T-1, Blue Lagoon Apartment, between 5.15 pm and 6.40 pm, and caught the accused with four e-cigarettes and 46 bottles containing liquid of different flavors.

The Russian is arrested under Sections 5 and 8 of the Prohibition of E-Cigarette Ordinance 2019.  PSI Suraj Korgaonkar is investigating.
