MARGAO: A British national Andrew Mark Charlambides, 62 from London, on Friday was found dead in the bathroom of the hotel where he was staying at Palolem, Canacona since December 4.
He had arrived in Goa on December 4, 2023 and was staying in a hotel at Palolem.
PSI Swadesh Dessai of Canacona Police Station, said that a case of unnatural death has been registered and the body has shifted to South District Hospital, Margao for post mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
“We shall inform the British Embassy about the death so that they can inform his family,” PSI Dessai said, while stating that prima facie it does not seem to be any foul play, as there weren’t any injuries on the body.
