Hoarding erected on traffic island causing hindrance to motorists

CITIZEN RUI FERREIRA Panjim

A few days ago, huge metal hoardings were erected on traffic islands of multiple crossroads infront of the iconic Immaculate Conception Church, Panjim, thereby causing grave danger to motoristas and pedestrians crossing the roads at these junctions as the visibility of the oncoming traffic is hindered totally. These hoardings display advertisements of a marathon rain run to be held only on 28th July at Bambolim Stadium, thereby these hoardings will be on display for more than a month.

These traffic islands in Panjim have been constructed since a decade ago to regulate voluminous vehicular traffic and pedestrian movement for the safety of citizens and tourists and have greenery on them for beautification in the Heritage Capital City.

Such monstrous metal erections of hoardings which threaten the lives and limbs of its people and are an eyesore must not be permitted by the CCP and should be removed immediately.
