Pavers more of a bane than a boon

All over Margao, we see pavers being laid and relaid on footpaths but there is hardly a stretch where they have been fixed as per proper norms. 

Either the sub base has not been prepared correctly resulting in the pavers buckling in or the strength of the paver itself is compromised resulting in cracks or breakages. 

Pedestrians are facing a harrowing time negotiating such areas with minor injuries also being reported. Will the government take heed and set right the defects?
