The busy road from the St Anthony’s Church junction to Badem-Chapora, via Vaddy-Siolim, is in near non-motorable condition. The road was dug up for laying underground electricity cables, and one hoped that the narrow road would be tarred or hot-mixed before the monsoon. However, the PWD has turned a Nelson’s Eye.
It is learnt that several requests by concerned citizens and the panchayat have not been heeded by the PWD. I wish to request the Siolim MLA, Delilah Lobo, to pull up those concerned and take up the matter with the Chief Minister, who also holds the PWD portfolio. Hoping better sense prevails!
