The leftover fish after cleaning as well as unsold, empty thermocol boxes used for carrying fish in bulk or ice and other waste is dumped just opposite the Margao fish market, even though it is slowly enters in the fields just across.
Is this a new attraction for those visiting the market? It has already started stinking and will deteriorate with the onslaught of monsoon and may give rise to viral diseases. The public is forced to come with masks to avoid bad smell.
Will there be action to clean the area which has already become an eyesore?
