GFP backs public opposition to Sunburn in South Goa

MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party (GFP) has voiced strong support for the public's opposition to relocating the Sunburn music festival to South Goa and is urging the government to heed the wishes of the people.

GFP President Vijai Sardesai emphasised that any development should only proceed with the consent of the people. He proposed that the festival be relocated to the area near the GMR Mopa airport, a site considered last year for the event.

Sardesai also referred to speculation that the Sunburn brand might have been sold, questioning whether this could be influencing the decision to move the festival. Despite this, he made it clear that South Goa residents do not want the event in their district.
