FATORDA: Ideas met excellence promising a future ready Goa at the GoaNext 2024 Atmanirbhar Bharat Summit which commenced with great enthusiasm and optimism and concluded with a promise of making Goa Atmanirbhar and future ready. 

Don Bosco Engineering College at Fatorda lit up with bright ideas and deliberations of a plethora of luminaries from the field of industry, academia and government on Saturday. The Summit brought together leaders, visionaries, and stakeholders from diverse sectors. The summit aimed to explore avenues for bolstering Goa's economic landscape, promoting self-reliance, and positioning the State as a hub for innovation and enterprise. 

Satyam Roy Chowdhury, Chairman of the Higher Education Committee of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, envisioned a future-ready Goa, shedding light on the potential of Goa in pioneering sustainable and innovative practices.

“In spite of being the 23rd State in the GDP list among Indian States, Goa has the highest per capita income. The key to success in the knowledge economy skilling and education plays an important role. Events like GoaNext 2024 serve as catalysts for such an ecosystem of ideas. Together, let us embark on our collective journey to not only make Goa not only future ready but to ensure a prosperous, sustainable and inclusive future, Chowdhury said.

Joy Chowdhury, Vice President of Herald Group, highlighted Goa's unique position beyond being a leisure and tourism destination and advocated for Goa's potential for investment and expansion.

Discussing the pivotal role of collaboration, D S Prashant, CEO of the Startup and IT Promotion Cell, Government of Goa, emphasised the need for industry, academia, government, and media to work together to foster new-age industries, start-ups, and technologies.
