PANJIM: In a new twist to the Assagao house demolition case, house owner Prinsha Agarwadekar and her lawyer have said that Pooja Sharma had nothing to do with the house demolition and kidnapping case.

Surprisingly, a private deal was announced where Pooja Sharma through a "representative" has agreed to rebuild the house even as the police is looking to ask her to join the investigating failing which an imminent arrest is on the cards.

However, the victim party clarified that “The criminal case won't be withdrawn.”

Adv Prasad Desai, who is representing the Agarwadekar family said, it does not appear that Pooja Sharma was involved in the demolition and abduction of Pradeep Agarwadekar and his son on June 22. He said the agents would have done it and told Pooja Sharma that the land did not have any encumbrances.

Prinsha also flatly refuted the allegations that she was paid money to stifle the case. “People who make such insinuations should prove them,” she said.

Govt won’t compromise, says Chief Minister Sawant; Delilah Lobo says they were taken for a ride

PANJIM: Reacting to the Agarwadekar family's apparent  compromise with the land owner, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, “I am not concerned with what she (Agarwadekar) is doing. If she does not want the government to rebuild the house, it is her problem. I have initiated procedure and the case will go to its logical conclusion."

"I am not here to dance to the tunes of people. The government will not compromise. Case will not be withdrawn and all those involved in creating law and order will be nabbed. Cent per cent action will be taken against the perpetrators.”

Police teams had been dispatched to Mumbai and Belgaum to nab the land owner and bouncers respectively, he said, adding that nobody will be spared.

Reacting to the turn of events, Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo said, “We all were taken for a ride and the Agarwadekar family too should be probed. The case should be fast-tracked. Action should also be taken against Pooja Sharma."
