Queen of entrance exams: Cuncolim student aces NEET, JEE, Olympiad, NTSE and KVPY

CUNCOLIM: Displaying an extraordinary talent for academics, Ojaswi Satish Fal Dessai, a student from Cuncolim, has made her parents and village proud with her stellar performance in various competitive exams.  

Ojaswi scored 685 marks, out of a maximum of 720, in the NEET exams required to get admission in the MBBS stream. She also secured the 480th rank at the all-India level. Scoring 97.2 percent, she also stood first in Science in Class XII, at Pragat Public School, Dwarka, Delhi.  

Ojaswi also cleared her JEE exams with an impressive 99.46 percentile. Academically-inclined from a very young age, Ojaswi was also shortlisted for NASA’s Kalpana Chawla National Scholarship. She secured the 39th rank in the national-level competitive examination called Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna, organised by the Science and Technology Department, Government of India. She also won meritorious certificates in the National Talent Search Examination and National Olympiad.  

Interested in medicine and research, Ojaswi plans to pursue a medical degree in a top medical college in Delhi. Daughter of late Dr Satish Fal Dessai and Prof Tanuja Fal Dessai, the Cuncolim girl has many laurels to her credit. She was the champion of the International Pan Pacific competition held at Pattaya and stood third at the national-level Vidyarthi Vighyan Manthan in 2016. Besides studies, Ojaswi loves playing chess and badminton and dreams of becoming a scientist. The Cuncolim Citizens Committee, Cuncolim Balli Ganeshotsav Mandal, Cuncolim Kshatriya Maratha Samaj and other organisations have congratulated her on her academic success.
