PANJIM: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has done away with yet another restriction on grant of additional height and FAR (floor area ratio) to construction proposals in villages. The TCP can now grant the additional height and FAR to the proposals on case-to-case basis without the earlier restriction of “20% permitted in the prevailing Regulations.” The TCP Department has issued an amendment to the recently-notified Goa Land Development and Building Construction Regulations, noting, “The government on recommendation of the TCP Board shall grant additional height and FAR to the proposals on case-to-case basis in consideration of the locational aspect, nature of development, use proposed information available and on any such other criteria, if required.”
