Uprooted trees, logs clog Ragada river

PONDA: The Sacorda villagers are facing issues with the Ragada river bridges. Due to heavy rains, a lot of uprooted trees and logs have accumulated under the bridges, obstructing the smooth flow of water. This blockage is causing concern among the locals as it poses a threat to the structural integrity of the bridges, which are crucial for their daily commute.

Suraj Garad, a local resident, has highlighted that there are two bridges on the Ragada River in Sacorda Village, located in Dharbandora Taluka. He has urged the Water Resources Department (WRD), the local Savordem MLA, or the Sacorda Panchayat to take immediate action to clear the debris. The bridges, originally constructed for mining transportation, are now vital for the villagers traveling to places like Tamdi Surla and Bolkarne.

Given the importance of these bridges for the community, it is essential that the responsible authorities address this issue promptly to ensure the safety and convenience of the villagers.
