Anjuna Police  Successfully Apprehends 23-Year-Old Suspect from Odisha with Illegal Ganja Worth ₹5 Lakh

In a significant crackdown on the illicit drug trade, the diligent team at Anjuna Police Station executed a targeted operation, resulting in the successful apprehension of 23-year-old Sisira Nayak from Odisha on Tuesday. The arrested individual, Sisira Nayak, hailed from Gobindapur, Belapada, Gajapati, Odisha. The accused was discovered in possession of illegal Ganja with an estimated value of ₹5 lakh in the Anjuna area. 

The Anjuna Police Station staff demonstrated meticulous planning and coordination during the narcotic raid on January 30, 2024. The operation, led by P.I. Prashal P N. Dessai and his team, not only resulted in the confiscation of the illicit drugs but also led to the seizure of other assets belonging to the alleged drug peddler.

The police team, consisting of PSI Ashish B. Porob, PC Mahendra Mandrekar, PC Rupesh Asgaonkar, PC- Aniket Pednekar, PC Krishan Bugde, PC Arun Mahale, PC Shanu Raut, and PC Satyendra Nasnodkar, developed crucial information and executed the operation seamlessly.

The overall supervision of Shri. Sandesh T. Chodankar, SDPO Mapusa, and Shri. Nidhin Valson, IPS, SP (North), Porvorim, ensured the successful arrest of the drug peddler and the confiscation of illegal substances and other associated properties. The Anjuna Police's dedication to curbing drug-related activities underscores their commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
