CM goes to Parsekar’s College, praises his role as ex Health Minister

PERNEM: In a move laced with large political undertones, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar’s Harmal Panchakroshi Shikshan Mandal’s College, at Arambol, Pernem and praised his work as former health minister for introducing para-medical course. The also praised him as a visionary for building such big infrastructure, commenting about the school, higher secondary and college which he has set up.

Chief Minister Pamod Sawant was speaking at the Vidya Sankul, Bhom Plateau, foundation stone laying ceremony of the new building for a nursing college. Sawant offered full support to the college and called on students to prepare for the Staff Selection Commission and GPSC exams immediately after Class X.

He also praised Parsekar for bringing teachers from Kerala for many of the skill development courses introduced in his college.

Interestingly, Parsekar’s bete noire, Dayanand Sopte was also present at the function.

Sawant called on students to focuss answering the Staff Selection Commission and GPSC exams since  students of other states focus on IAS exams right from Class X. He stated that government had introduced the apprenticeship courses so that students who pass courses such as engineering could get experience.
