COLVA POLICE BOOK UNKNOWN PERSONS FOR ORGANISING BULL FIGHTS RESULTING IN A BULL GORING A PERSON TO DEATH AND CAUSING CRUELTY TO ANIMAL

Colva Police have registered an offence against unknown persons for organising a bull fight which resulted in a person named Jenito Vaz being gored by a bull. According to the offence registered by the Covla police the incident happened on Jan 16 at 21.16 in the evening. 

Upon enquiry the Colva Police Station registered a case of Unnatural Death under section 174 CrPC. A bull fight was organized between two bulls at Calwado, Benaulim by unknown persons for the entertainment to the public. The booked persons have subjected the animals to cruelty. Because of the carelessness and negligent act of the organisers during the fight one of the bulls gored a person who later was taken for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival. 

Jenito Francisco Velice Loretto  Vaz aged 41 years who is a resident of Fatrade, Varca died of the grievous injuries. Jenito was laid to rest on Tuesday in a teary funeral cortege. An offence stands registered under section 304-A IPC  and sec 11 (1) (m) (n) under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act.
