Cyber Crime Police arrested Margao local for creating fake Instagram ID of ex- Girl friend and posting nude and objectionable photographs.
An offence was registered by Old Goa Police registered on December 20 under sections 67 B of IT act and Sec 8 of Goa children act against a person who created fake ID and circulated photos of his girl friend. The girl is minor in age.
Cyber crime police were able to trace the creator of ID and later traced the person at Margao and arrested him on on December 21 at early hours. Accused Sameer Hazara from Margao was arrested and has been remanded to one day Police Custody by Quepem JMFC to be produced for further remand before Childrens Court Panaji
The Cyber Crime Police said that the team is on their toes in last 8-10 days. PI Satish Padwalkar and Cyber Crime Team are working under close supervision of IPS Akshat Kaushal, SP Cyber Crime to register and investigate cases on online financial fraud affecting senior citizens and fake IDs of Instagram and Facebook which are used for exploiting minor girls
As above case, in one more case registered on December 19, Cyber Police Goa identified 9 Instagram IDs of minor girls from elite city school, Panjim who have posted morphed video tarnishing image of other minor girl for personal revenge. Action has been initiated in the matter.
