Damaged roof of Central Library threatens rare historical books

PANJIM:  For the past fifteen days, a portion of the Central Library roof has been damaged due to excessive rains and gusty winds. This has resulted in rainwater entering the library, posing threat to rare books.


The fifth and sixth floors of the library, which house Goa’s rare historical data, have been inundated, dampening the books and leaving the authorities turning a blind eye to this matter.

This has resulted in rainwater entering the library, causing damage to rare books and inundation to this temple of knowledge.
