Delilah tells Anjuna PI ‘no loud music’; few villagers not amused

SIOLIM: Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo demanded that acting Anjuna PI Paresh Naik stop the loud music played in Anjuna and Vagator belt from Wednesday. She also threatened to protest at the door of the Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court with the locals if her demand was not heeded. Anjuna PI promised that he would not allow any music after 10pm.

Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, along with residents from Anjuna, Vagator, and Chapora, gathered at the Anjuna police station to file a complaint regarding loud noise pollution caused by restaurants and nightclubs in the Anjuna-Vagator area. The villagers, supported by MLA Delilah, expressed their frustration over the loud music playing late into the night, which severely affects the elderly, children, and sick individuals in the community.

However villagers who had gathered there were not amused as a similar scenario was enacted twice before. They are determined to have the candlelit vigil on Independence Day.
