He commended the GWMC's progressive role in establishing advanced infrastructure and reiterated their commitment to setting up waste management facilities focused on zero landfilling to address the growing waste concerns .

“The Goa waste management Corporation plays a progressive role in achieving the goal of reduction, management and disposal of the ever increasing waste in Goa. Goa is the only state that has a solid waste management ministry headed by the chief minister itself. Goa Waste Management Corporation has set up a state of the art infrastructure and is committed to setting up facilities involving waste management plant which is aimed at zero land filling,” said Sawant.
