MARGAO: Konkan Railway in co-ordination with Central Railways has decided to run special trains of Konkan Railway for the convenience of passengers on the long Independence Weekend and Ganesh Chaturthi festival
The main intention is to avoid overcrowding of the trains. The additional trains coming to Margao will be available from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai on 15th and 17th August. And the trains leaving for Lokmanya Tilak Terminus from Margao will run on August 16th and 18th
Special trains will also be running between September 3th and 19th to cater to passengers travelling during Ganesh Chaturthi from Mumbai to other destinations.
Baban Ghatge Deputy General Manager PR Konkan Railway has urged all the commuters to avail this benefit.
