The Union Home Ministry has initiated a significant reshuffling of top administrative and police officials in Goa, leading to the transfer of prominent officers, including Secretary to Chief Minister Ajit Roy and Superintendent of Police Nidhin Valsan, Abhishek Dhania, and Aslam Khan.
According to the transfer order issue by Ministry of Home Affairs, IAS Ajit Roy, who held the crucial position of Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been transferred to Mizoram. Meanwhile, the police department witnesses a notable change with the transfer of North Goa Superintendent of Police Nidhin Valsan, South Goa Superintendent of Police Abhishek Dhania, and IPS Aslam Khan. All three officers are being relocated to Delhi.
As replacements for the outgoing officers, the newly appointed officials include IAS E Vellavan, IAS Ankit Yadav, and IPS Rohit Singh and Rahul Gupta. They are expected to assume their respective duties in Goa, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to their roles.
The reasons behind these transfers remain undisclosed, and the Union Home Ministry's decision is anticipated to bring a renewed focus on administrative efficiency and law enforcement in the state. The changes come at a crucial time when Goa is gearing up for various developmental projects and dealing with law and order issues.
The transferred officers are expected to assume their new responsibilities shortly, while the incoming officials are likely to acclimate themselves to their roles in the state administration and police force.
