Mandrem Police successfully located Pradeep B. Maji, who had been reported missing by his brother, Mahesh B. Maji, on 13/05/2024. Pradeep, aged 47 and a resident of Khalchawada Arambol Pernem Goa, was found safe and sound in Ganpatipule, Maharashtra.

Upon receiving the missing person report, Mandrem Police sprang into action, deploying teams to scour the area within their jurisdiction and neighboring regions. They extensively circulated photographs and details of Pradeep, including his last known whereabouts on his scooter.

Despite challenges, including the unavailability of his mobile phone signal, the diligent efforts of the police paid off. Acting on a tip-off from family members that Pradeep had crossed Amboli Ghat, a specialized team led by PSI Anil Polekar ventured into Maharashtra territory. Their pursuit led them to Yashodhan Hotel in Ganpatipule, where Pradeep was located and safely recovered.

In his detailed statement, Pradeep revealed that he had embarked on a spiritual journey, visiting various temples across Maharashtra, without informing his family. Following his retrieval, he was reunited with his relieved family members, and custody was handed over to his wife.

The successful tracing of Pradeep was attributed to the coordinated efforts of Mandrem Police, under the leadership of SDPO Pernem, Jivba Dalvi. This incident underscores the importance of timely reporting and swift police action in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in the community.
