PERNEM: Pernem taxi operators with the support of North and South Goa Taxi Associations are adamant to continue the protest. They alleged that CM’s statement of politicization of the protest and MLA’s statement of outsiders and Pednekars is uncalled for. They alleged that GMR was still charging Rs 500 for parking.
They said they would await the outcome of the meeting with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday.
The taxi strike continued for the third day on Saturday, inspite of the rain. They remained defiant to continue the strike.
Taxi operators flayed the efforts by the local MLAs to divide the taxi operators between Pednekars and outsiders. They insisted that the Goa Miles counter at the Mopa International Airport be removed and Goa Miles be discontinued.
