PANJIM: After being elusive for eight days, the main accused in the Assagao house demolition Pooja Sharma applied for anticipatory bail on Monday. There was no news either from the State Government or the police whether summons were served to her. Meanwhile, the Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo and even the Opposition Congress seem to have gone silent on the demand for the arrest of Pooja Sharma.
The Agarwadekars’ house was partially demolished on June 22, 2024 with heavy machinery without serving any notice from any authority. Bouncers were employed in executing the daring act. It has been 8 days since the demolition of the house of Agarwadekars at Assagao.
The FIR was filed on June 23, 2024 in which Pooja Sharma was named as the prime accused. While side actors such as bouncers and others were arrested, Pooja had been elusive. So far six arrests have been made.
The police said teams had been sent to Belgavi and Mumbai, but no news was given about the result of the visit of these police teams.
The State government and the Police are tight lipped on this case and whether summons were served to Pooja Sharma.
On Monday suddenly it was reported that Pooja Sharma had filed for anticipatory bail before the Panjim Judicial Magistrate First Class.
