Tragic Accident Claims Life of Vasco Businessman, Sameer Gosavi

Tragedy struck as Sameer Gosavi, a 54-year-old businessman known for selling Ros Omelette in Vasco, met with a fatal accident near Shivam theatre, resulting in his demise on Sunday. While riding his handicapped scooter, he tried to avoid a young boy who suddenly appeared in his path. 

In an attempt to prevent a collision, Sameer applied brakes, leading to a fatal accident causing severe head injuries. He was quickly taken to the Chicalim sub-district hospital for urgent medical care but, sadly, passed away due to the extent of his injuries.

An eyewitness to the incident recounted the sequence of events, stating that both he and Gosavi were riding on the same road at the time.

"I was riding ahead of him, I was ahead near the bank, while he was closer to the theatre when the accident occurred," the eyewitness recalled. "Suddenly, a young person appeared in front, causing him to abruptly brake, leading to a loss of control and his bike veering off course. Gosavi sustained severe head injuries and was bleeding profusely. We rushed him to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries."

The community mourns the loss of Gosavi, a familiar face known for his business in the area. The incident has left a sombre atmosphere.
