PANJIM: In a new twist to the Assagao house demolition case, house owner Prinsha Agarwadekar and her lawyer have said that Pooja Sharma may have nothing to do with the house demolition and kidnapping. They said Pooja Sharma through a representative, has agreed to rebuild their house. Sharma has not talked of cancelling the sale deed and the matter will be decided by the court of law. The criminal case will not be withdrawn, both said.

Adv Prasad Desai said it does not appear that Pooja Sharma was involved in the demolition and violence. He said the agents would have done it and told Pooja Sharma that the land did not have any encumbrances. He also said that Pooja Sharma agreed to repair the house after she learnt of the incidents. When questioned whether the sale deed with Chyrs Pinto was cancelled, he said the court process would go on. He also denied that the case filed before the police would be withdrawn.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that government will not compromise and 100% action will be taken against the perpetrators. Police teams had been dispatched to Mumbai and Belgaum to nab the bouncers, Sawant said.

Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo said, we all were taken for the ride and the family too should be probed. The case should be fast tracked. Action should also be taken against Pooja Sharma
