MARGAO: GFDC Navelim won the U-12 and U-10 league categories while Learn to Play, Mumbai were the U-8 league winners of the Goa Football Festival organised by Youth Futsal Academy, at Chowgule turf and Rosary ground, Navelim, recently.
The event was designed to bring together players from Mumbai and Goa to hone their skills and develop as players.
It was well contested event in the U-8, U-10 and U-12 categories between St. Augustine, Nerul, Learn to Play school Mumbai, GFDC Navelim and Youth Futsal Academy Goa in the League format.
Climax Lawrence, ex-captain of the Indian Football team and four time I-league winner with Dempo SC was the chief guest along with head coaches of the participating teams Thomas (St Augustine), Jerome (Learn to Play), Mickdom Rebello (GFDC) and Socorro Vaz (YFA). Deepak Pathania of Fab Lab Show gave away was the special guest who gave away the winners’ trophies and individual prizes.
