RAIA: The King’s School, Bethany Convent HS of Sao Jose de Areal, St Jude HS of Betalbatim and Rosary HS of Navelim moved ahead in the U-15 Subroto Mukherjee Salcete Taluka inter-school football tournament of DSYA and played at Dramapur football ground, on Thursday.
In the first match – Rosary HS defeated Regina Martyrum HS of Assolna by 5-2 goals. For Rosary- Rahul Sherpali netted a brace while Messi Rebello, Sean Pereira and Jostan Carvalho netted a goal each. Rayner Borges and Edrel Mascarenhas netted a goal each for Regina Martyrum HS.
Bethany Convent HS trounced Bloomz International HS of Nuvem by 10-0 goals. For Bethany – Treston Fernandes netted a hat-trick followed by a goal each from Alzan Nawar, Steven Dias, Jerico Pereira, Sweldon Viegas, Slenzen Endro, Floyd Rodrigues and Astroy Costa.
The King’s HS defeated Holy Spirit Institute of Margao by 8-0 goals. Aaravya Da Costa scored a hat-trick, Mikhael Reyes scored a brace while Vivaan Deva, Soham Mane and Alloysius Fernandes netted a goal each for King’s School.
St Jude HS also move ahead with 5-1 win over St Joseph HS of Aquem. Milwerd D’Costa scored four while Kuldeep Kullu netted one goal for St Jude. The only goal for St Joseph HS was netted by Colin Baptista.
