Saraswat Vidyalaya HS champs

MARGAO: Vedang excelled in batting and bowling departments to guide Saraswat Vidyalaya High School, Khorlim to six wickets victory over Mustifund High School Panjim to emerge champions in the North District Under-14 cricket tournmnaet organized by DSYA, at SAG ground, Porem-Keri, here, on Monday.

Mustifund HS won the toss and preferred to field. Saraswat Vidyalaya HS in their innings scored 137 runs losing four wickets. Vedang 41, Kushal 20, Anuj 12, Om Madgaonkar 13 and Shreeyesh 10 were the top scorers. Ajinka took two wickets.

In reply, Mustifund HS could score only 106 runs losing all wickets in 19.4 overs. Ajinka 19, Soham 28 and Rohan 20 played their bests.

Man-of-the-Match Vedang took four wickets while Om and Kaushal took two wickets each. Vedang gave only three runs in four overs and claimed four wickets.
