MARGAO: St Joseph’s High School (3 points) defeated The King’s School (1 point) to advance in Group A, Round 1 of the U-6 mixed boys and girls 3-a-side football category in the 2nd edition of the Next Gen League, organised by The King’s Sports Academy at their premises in Sao Jose De Areal. Jotham Da Costa (The King’s School) and Mohammed Salah (St Joseph’s High School) were named players of the match.
In the U-10 futsal 5-a-side Group A, Round 1 match, Our Lady of Succour HS (3 points) triumphed over St Anthony’s HS (1 point), with Dhanush Rao (St Anthony’s HS) being declared player of the match.
In the second match, Auxilium HS (3 points) beat St Anne’s Institute (1 point), with Fraeli Rodrigues (Auxilium HS) being named player of the match.
