The Goa Excise Commissioner Narayan Gad has ruled in the Silly Souls Bar and Restaurant case that the excise license will be transferred to the late Anthony D'Gama's wife as she has been verified as the head of the family, after police clearance certificates were received from both the Mumbai and Goa police stations. Complainant Adv Aires Rodrigues had contended that the excise licence is not tranferable and has decided to challenge the order in High Court.
