Fr Domnic Carvalho, in collaboration with the esteemed singer, songwriter, drummer, and music producer Mark Revlon, is preparing to unveil an uplifting new song titled ‘Goemkaranchea Mogacho Sant Francis Amcho’. This tribute to St Francis Xavier, the beloved patron saint of Goa, is scheduled for release on November 21, 2024. Mark Revlon's distinctive vocal style and fervent dedication are expected to render this tribute a lasting contribution to Goan music, appealing to audiences of all ages.

This upcoming song follows the remarkable success of ‘Gôemcho Sāib’, a hit performed by Mark Revlon in 2021 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of St Francis Xavier Church in Mormugão Harbor, which amassed nearly 1 million views on social media. ‘Gôemcho Saib’ continues to resonate with listeners, showcasing the unifying essence of faith.

The song ‘Gôemkaranchea Mogacho Sant Francis Amcho’ showcases the lyrical artistry of renowned Goan songwriter Pio Agnelo Fernandes, whose creations have profoundly impacted the hearts of Goans around the globe. Pio, celebrated for his poignant works such as Mog Amkam Gôyenchea Sāibacho and Dis Udelo, encapsulates the spirit of devotion to St Francis Xavier in this composition. Pio Agnelo remarked, ‘I believe the words come through me, not from me. It’s God’s grace that allows me to write lyrics that touch people’s souls’.  The piece is a harmonious bland of vocalist Mark Revlon, Vaughn Pio on drums, Valiston Francisco on the bass guitar , Devesh Dias on the keyboard and Edgar Warren on the guitar.

The concept for the song was developed by Fr Domnic Carvalho, who drew inspiration from the forthcoming exposition, a significant event that honours St Francis Xavier every decade. Fr Domnic aimed to create a project that not only commemorates the life of the saint but also resonates deeply with the Goan community. By collaborating with leading artists, singers, cinematographers, and composers, Fr Domnic has united the finest Goan talent to pay tribute to Goa’s cherished Gôemcho Sāib.

The mansion features a family chapel that contains a relic of St. Francis Xavier, which imparts a sacred element to the music video, set to debut on Fr Domnic Carvalho’s official social media channel.

Anthony Fernandes, a passionate admirer of Fr Carvalho’s creations, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming song: ‘I eagerly anticipate Mark Revlon’s homage to Gôencho Sāib! This piece is bound to resonate with our emotions and rejuvenate our faith’.
