Last week, Mohammad Sufiyan, 20, of Calconda, and Maria Baptista, alias Mario Baptista, of Benaulim, who is wanted in multiple robbery cases, were taken into custody by Porvorim police. The young person reportedly studies BCom.
"It turned out that they had committed a lot of burglaries during the investigation. Additionally, they admitted to giving one Philip Rato from Benaulim all of the pilfered ornaments. Rato would sell the pilfered goods to Samar Pal, a goldsmith. They're both in custody," he declared.
According to Kaushal, the investigation showed that the burglars typically targeted homes with sliding doors without grills and wore masks.

"During the investigation, we recovered about 500 grams of stolen gold jewelry," the SP continued. He claimed that 19 burglary cases that had been reported to different police stations had been resolved as a result of the accused's arrest.
Four at the Porvorim Police Station, four at the Panjim Police Station, two at Agaçaim Police Station, one at Mapuçá Police Station, two at Anjuna Police Station, five at Ponda Police Station, and one at Old Goa Police Station are among the cases that have been resolved.
