SANCOALE: As the hunger strike by Premanand Naik of Sancoale enters the fourth day, everyone is worried about the health of the Ex-Sarpanch. Naik is now sleeping on the floor of the panchayat premises to conserve energy. Activists and supporters have demanded that the government swiftly withdraw the permissions granted to Bhutani so that Premanand can withdraw his fast. Naik is demanding the revocation of licences granted to Bhutani infra

All activists who visited Premanand on Thursday, expressed serious concern about his health. They appealed to the chief minister to urge the local panchayat to cancel all the licences granted to Bhutani Infra and not delay any longer.

They reiterated that Premanand was fighting not only to save his village, where earlier he had not granted any permission to a similar project by the previous owners, but his is fighting to the ecology and heritage of Goa.
