PANJIM: In an interesting twist to the sex scandal expose by State Congress president Girish Chodankar involving a Cabinet Minister, the alleged victim has now accused Congress leaders of luring her to ‘honey trap’ the BJP Minister by offering her a sum of Rs 10 lakh.

The alleged victim, hailing from Bihar, has filed a FIR at the Mufassil police station of Bettiah, Bihar stating that Congress leaders promised to pay her Rs 10 lakh to ‘honey trap’ the Minister. She also said that the Congress leaders prepared her audio clip as well as video clip to blackmail the Minister, while the latter in question actually helped her out.

The complainant has named Yashwant Ghonshekar, Sanu alias Prajyot, GPCC vice president Sankalp Amonkar and Damodar Divkar in her complaint.

The Mufassil police station has filed a zero FIR in this regard and transferred the case to the Mormugao Police Station for further investigation.

Earlier this month, GPCC president Girish Chodankar had alleged that a Cabinet minister in the BJP government was involved in a sex scandal and demanded the immediate sacking of the minister. He had also threatened to reveal the name of the minister involved if Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant failed to sack the minister from the Cabinet within 15 days.

A group of advocates under the Lawyers For Just Society, Mumbai on Saturday demanded an investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the alleged sex scandal involving a minister.

Addressing media persons in Panjim, the advocates claimed that Chodankar had false intentions in regard to the matter.

Adv Sanjeev Punalekar alleged that Chodankar had dragged a woman into the controversy for his own political benefits.
