Govt passes Goa Appropriation Bill 2023

Rs 26k crore to be allocated from State’s Consolidated Fund

PORVORIM: The Goa Assembly approved the Goa Appropriation Bill, 2023 on Thursday. 

The bill grants the government the authority to allocate Rs 26,844.40 crore from the Consolidated Fund of the State for the financial year 2023-2024, covering various expenses anticipated during the ongoing fiscal year.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant tabled the Bill. Earlier in March this year, after presenting the State budget, the government had passed a Vote on Account to cover the subsequent five months.
