MARGAO: Villagers of Benaulim, who had launched a signature campaign demanding Western Bypass on stilts, are gearing up to expand their campaign to the neighbouring villages to get more support for their movement.

The signature campaign has already crossed the 5,000 mark and they expect to meet their 10,000-signatures target soon.

Speaking to Herald local leaders and volunteers from Benaulim admitted that their campaign has slowed down due to issues regarding panchayat elections.

This petition will be sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and the office of the Union Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari.
