PANJIM: The CII Indian Women Network (IWN) Goa and Goa Police on Monday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a bid to empower the women police force, create awareness and address various issues faced by them in their personal and professional careers.

Through this initiative, CII IWN aims to enhance the capability, core domain and quality of women in their workplace. CII IWN will facilitate faculty experts to address and deal with stress management, financial literacy, mental health, etc. to enlighten, guide and upskill the women workforce.

The MoU was signed and exchanged between Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh and Chairpersons CII IWN Goa Sheetal Pai Kane.

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said that women police don’t speak up or open up themselves easily before us due to the issue of hierarchy.

“We want IWN to closely work with our women police force and help them to address their issues,” he said.
