Huge potholes on the main road leading to the District Hospital in Mapusa is a real nuisance and poses danger to cyclists, motorists, pedestrians and more so to ambulances proceeding to the hospital. Students also use this road to go to several schools and other institutions in the vicinity. This road also connects to the National Highway and is neglected by the authorities.
The absence of streetlights makes it even worse at nights with people often meeting with accidents. The ongoing neglect speaks volumes of how our authorities royally drag their feet when it comes to maintainence of roads giving scant respect to public safety. The authorities should wake up and repair this road in the interest of the community on priority basis.
