VASCO: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday assured people of Mormugao taluka that the government will not allow existing Dabolim airport to close down after commissioning of new Mopa airport.
Sawant who was in Mormugao to launch projects of Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) said that the government will plan division of flights between Dabolim and Mopa airports so that both airports function smoothly and develop connectivity facilities under the Centre’s “Gati Shakti” initiative to provide employment opportunities to locals.
