PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that he will "soon" give reports on Assagao house demolition case, Kala Academy building leakage and landslides along the national highways, although he parried media questions on transfer of Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh.

Responding to questions post cabinet briefing at Mantralaya, Porvorim, Sawant said, “The inquiry into the Assagao house demolition case is on. I will (soon) give the report.”

However, when the Chief Minister was asked about any decision taken with regards to transfer of DGP Jaspal Singh, IPS, in the light of allegations in connection with Assagao house demolition case, he ducked the question and started informing about a programme to be organised by the government.

When he was asked about three landslides occurred along the national highway 66 at Naibag and Dhargalim in Pernem taluka, Sawant said, “The road has been closed totally. I have asked for submission of the report. The report (about the loss) has not yet come. Any action will be taken after receiving the report.”

Sawant said that already the Disaster Management Committee is working on the field. It will take time for the report to come. “We have closed the road completely, we have opened the road on the other side. We will open it after it is cleared. I have asked to submit the report,” he added.

Regarding blacklisting of contractors, Sawant said, “I will tell you.”

On the Kala Rakhonn Mandd meeting and inspection of Kala Academy building carried out by Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao, Sawant shot back saying, "What should I do? I have said, I will give the Kala Academy report.”
