Does the government refusal to have a judicial inquiry prove that it is connected to the job scam

Freddy Fernandes

PANJIM: Every time the government is confronted with the cash for government jobs scam, it gets away by saying that they have already filed F I R and called on victims to come forward and file cases against the accused. Herald TV asked a section of the people if the government refusal to have a judicial inquiry prove that it is connected to the job scam.

Why are they not appointing a retired judge to do the inquiry? The judge and his team will go deep into the scam and everything will come out.

The refusal of the government to do a judicial inquiry into the job scam proves that there is a job scam. Why are they not appointing a retired judge to do the inquiry? The judge and his team will go deep into the scam and everything will come out. The 30 or 40 scamsters who took money and sold jobs are spoiling the future of the youth. The government has not filed any serious offences against them. Most of the accused are free. CM is saying that he will recover the money from those who have accepted cash for jobs, by selling the properties of the accused and giving money  back to the victims. This is not right. Those involved in the scam should be behind bars. Thereafter they have to sell their property and return the money to the people. We want a judicial inquiry.

So there is a needle of suspicion. We have heard many names of people close to the government. This needs a judicial inquiry.

There is no need for the Director General of Police to support the government.  He has to only take care of law and order. Who has given him the right to say whether what the government has done is right or wrong? Who gave him the right to say whether government servants are involved or not ( before the inquiry is completed)? Who asked you to say that nobody from the government is involved. Who asked you regarding clean chit? What is your work? Your work is to do an inquiry, do panchanama, file FIR and send the case to the court. So there is a needle of suspicion. We have heard many names of people close to the government. This needs a judicial inquiry.
