Guv, CM, Archbishop greet Goans on New Year

PANJIM: Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao have extended their best wishes and greetings to the people of Goa on the occasion of New Year.

The Governor, in his message, said, “The New Year is a joyous event when we refresh our thoughts and prepare for new achievements. It is a time when we refresh our thoughts and renew our resolve to make improvements in our life. The New Year brings new hopes, aspirations, expectations and rejuvenates our lives.”

In his message, the Chief Minister said, “It is time to look back and reflect on what we have done during the past year. For the unkind things that we might have come across, let us open our hearts and let go of all the harsh feelings. May we also learn a lesson from it.”

“I urge the people to strive towards newer and greater goals. Let us recess, reflect and get ready to welcome the New Year 2024 with new hope. I wish everyone joy and peace. May all have a blessed, happy and prosperous New Year 2024,” the CM concluded.

Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao said, “I am glad to send to the people of Goa my cordial greetings and best wishes for a Happy New Year of 2024, filled with God’s blessings. Peace and well-being are yearnings planted by God in the heart of every person, regardless of his or her religious or cultural background.”

“In today’s troubled and conflict-ridden world it is becoming more and more necessary to build peace. May the Lord inspire and help us all to join hands and commit ourselves to tireless peace-making, at all levels,” he added
