PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa s granted interim bail to Vikat Bhagat, an under trial accused in the rape and murder of Irish tourist Danielle McLaughlin. Vikat is an under trial since 2017.
The bail has been granted on humanitarian grounds to the accused inorder for him to perform the last rites of his father.
The period of bail is for November 25 and 26. With this, Vikat will be able to travel to his native place under police escort and will be escorted back to Goa after the last rites are over.
