PANJIM: Major events of the calendar years, such as the 55th International Film Festival of India and the Serendipity festival of the arts is here. Also it is the peak tourist season, where eager national and international tourists will be flocking to the city, to see if Panjim lives up to their expectations. Herald TV did a survey of the city and found out that the work is still pending and with just a few days to go for the IFFI, it does not appear that enough planning was done to get Panjim IFFI ready.
This year the International Film Festive which is celebrating its 55th anniversary, will be completing 20 years in Goa. Has enough planning and preparations been done to get Panjim ready for IFFI.
A survey of the city revealed that parts of the Mahatma Gandhi Road and the 18th June road are dug and footpaths are still being laid. So the footpath is unusable for IFFI delegates who would like to visit the Panjim city especially, the shopping street of 18th June road.
The St Inez Road and also the road from Geeta Bakery to the land survey department is still incomplete.
