Medical Equipment Bank launched in Vasco

VASCO: A Medical Equipment Bank was opened in Vasco to offer free medical equipment to people in need, on Saturday. 

The Ananta Physiotherapy Centre in association with the Bandekar Charity Foundation and Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera, launched the Medical Equipment Bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Vasco MLA Krishna ‘Daji’ Salkar lauded the initiative, emphasising its potential to benefit the community. He hoped that this initiative that will benefit many people. He said that sometimes people face difficulty while some cannot afford to buy expensive medicines, Therefore this new initiative offers hope allowing people to avail these facilities on loan.

Madhavi Bandekar Shetye highlighted the decade-long journey of Ananta Physiotherapy Centre, which was established on June 30, 2014. She said that Deepak Bandekar gave them the space, to set up the facility since medical treatment was becoming expensive and not affordable for everyone. The centre had handled over 7,000 patients in the last 10 years, she added.

Chandan Bandekar said that institute will continue doing good work for the people through this new initiative. The medical equipment bank.
