Two arrested LPCs Attempted to die by Suicide in Judicial Custody.  

The LPCs attached to Agassaim police station were arrested after being named by Prathamesh Gaude in his suicide video alleging harassment and mental torture.

PANJIM: Two Lady Police Constables Priti and Tanishka Chavan who suspended and later arrested in the abetment to suicide case, themselves attempted suicide on Thursday. Both of them jumped from first floor of the Central Jail at Colvale in North Goa, in a bid to end their lives. Both sustained bodily injuries and were rushed to the North Goa District Hospital Government hospital at Mapusa for treatment.

 

Two Lady Police Constables Priti and Tanishka Chavan were suspended and later arrested on 4 November 2024. Crime Branch has registered FIR against two lady police constables for alleged abetment to suicide.

Before committing suicide, 22 year old Prathamesh Gaude had named LPCs for harassing and mentally torturing him.

Before committing suicide, Prathamesh had recorded a video, alleging that harassment by two lady constables and their brother was the reason for the drastic step taken by him. The video had gone viral on social media.

Police action was initiated in the wake of the video. Prathamesh passed out from the Police Training School Valpoi earlier this year and was posted at Vasco Railway Police Station.
